the big man.

almost a week and a half ago,
I was doubting my belief in the big man upstairs,
but truly believed his hatred for me.
I was so angry,
and couldn't understand why things happen the way they do.
[for the second time in my life]
but then,
today,
I got the best call.
a job,
a great job,
that perfectly works with my schedule,
gets me social work hours,
and just seems so fun,
and I knew,
someone upstairs must love me.
someone upstairs likes to put me through a lot of shit,
where I am forced to contemplate quiting,
but instead knows I can do it,
and in return gives me the opportunity of a lifetime,
that works so perfectly with my life right now
that I am in total shock that it is true.
I am expecting in about 5 minutes
to be woken up by my annoying alarm clock,
and then have reality smack me in the face again.
But instead this time,
there are no flying people,
crazy coincidences,
and no drooling.
so,
big man,
this is my way of saying,
thank you,
i love you too.

prior engagements.

cleeoh.
This picture has nothing to do with the post,
but look how cute she is.
.
Dear wonderful blog readers,
all 3 of you.
.
College is hard. A lot harder than high school.
You actually have to study.
You don't just get a grade for going to class,
you have to do actual work.
and it sucks.
.
It just hit me today,
that if I want to get into grad school,
I need a lot higher GPA than what I have now.
so, due to prior engagements,
I am going to have to take a leave of absence on the bloggy.
.
I wish there was another solution,
since my blogs are so good,
and since I post all the time.
[ha ha]
but I need to buckle down and focus on my studies.
.
However, little side note,
I love this semester so far.
If all my college classes were just like these classes,
I would love college more than anything.
.
I might on rare occasions post a little somethin' somethin'.
But I am just warning you now,
it is not going to be a regular post.
.
Until winter break my friends!
peace.

siblove

Me and my siblings get along great.
We all just kinda click.
[sometimes]
however,
this 'clicking' did not come as easy to me and my brother, Connor.
.
Yes, it has taken us until I am 20 and he is 16 to actually get a long.
We have always had our brother vs. sister fights,
but mine and Connor's fights were
to the death.
we would fight for hours,
and not just yelling,
"you're stupid."
we would be in complete fist fights,
and had many, many battle wounds to prove it.
.
My parents would go out on a date,
and I would be left to 'watch' Connor.
this one time,
my parents were at some work banquet or something,
and were gone for a loooong time.
Me and Connor got into the worst fight.
I ran into the living room,
pretending it was filled with an audience,
and started announcing to my lovely audience,
"Ladies and gentlemen, Connor Stidham is gay!"
"Yes, it's true folks Mr. Stidham is gay."
I thought I was so hilarious,
he did not.
we're lucky we didn't break any bones the way we used to fight.
To this day,
whenever Connor is being moody,
I will scream to my audience
[as a joke]
"Connor Stidham is gay."
then we laugh.
[please don't take this the wrong way,
I fully support gay rights.
I didn't even know what gay meant when I first said this
I was way too young.]
.
as I mentioned before,
it took forever,
me being 20 and Connor being 16
for us to finally get a long.
We now stay up late at night,
playing Old Maid.
and Memory Match.
We giggle as we have forced each other to act out the pair we match.
.
I love hanging out with my brother.

barb.

Welcome.
You are reading this post
written from the oneandonly...
barb.
got this for my birthday.
love it.
I once read this blog,
where she named everything.
and I mean everything.
From her computer to
her eyelash curler.
She named them all.
Not only did she name them,
but referred to them as those names.
It was pretty cool.
.
.
.
I know it has been 8 weeks,
but I thought I would just write a post
about my little nephew,
Teagon.
[pronounced Tea -as in the stuff you drink-
gen]
.
.
.
I was waiting for his mom to post,
and she finally did,
but no pictures.
.
On June 21, 2010
My brother Connor and I went to the doctor with my sister,
Jentri.
Just for a check-up.
She was due in exactly a month.
But she had been suffering from
preeclampsia.
.
Preeclampsia happens during pregnancy with hypertension
[high blood pressure]
and protein in your urine.
There is nothing you can do to avoid getting it,
and once you've got it,
all you can do to get rid of it is
have the baby.
It is a very common disease.
Very common in first pregnancy,
very very young moms,
and
very very old moms.
It also makes you swell up more than a normal pregnancy.
Most mothers who have it have to deliver very early.
In other words -
they never make it full term.
My sister's doctor was pushing for 37 weeks.
but on June 21, 2010
she was 35 weeks.
She had extremely high blood pressure
and her doctor said,
"Jentri, Let's have a baby."
.
You would have thought I was having a baby.
I was hyperventilating,
and sweating like crazy.
I was so nervous for my sister.
I am terrified of child birth,
so I couldn't imagine just being told
Let's have a baby.
Not to mention all the drugs they had to put her on,
it made me even more scared.
But my sister is a trooper and took it like a champ.
.
Well she went into the delivery room
and was induced at about 5:00 p.m.
.
She gave birth to precious little
Teagon Ryan McCleery
on June 22, 2010
at 12:41 a.m.
He weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz.
and was 19 1/4 inches long.
not bad for a premie.
But he was taken to the NICU
but only stayed a short time.
.
He is so great
and is already so big
probably 8 pounds now.
Zackry and Zaylie
(my niece and nephew)
were also born premature and weighed about the same
but since I was so young when they were born I didn't
get to see them until they were about 6 pounds.
So I do not remember holding such a tiny thing.
I felt like I was going to break him every time I picked him up.
He is so great and cute.
He grunts all the time.
And snorts when he cries.
I love to hold him because he love love loves to snuggle.
.
I love him little but I just can't wait until we can play.
stretchin.
.
.
Love you, Teag.
.
Happy Birthday Jent.

trying to be crafty.

Two years ago for Christmas,
I got a sewing machine.
I wanted one forever.
I have done a lot of hemming, and sewing up holes,
but nothing from 'scratch.'
.
I need to take lessons.
Today, I made some of my pants into shorts.
bermuda style shorts.
I did a pretty good job,
and had a pretty straight stitch.
.
I will be making Halloween costumes for my children
and their children in the future.
My next goal is to make a dress.
But that probably wont happen until I'm out of school,
or have a lot of time on my hands.
.
.
3 more summer classes left!
can't wait.

sad post.

I attend the University of Utah,
as a Pre-Social Work major.
Pre-Social Work because at the U,
you must be accepted into the College of Social Work,
just like Law School or Med School.
To become accepted,
you must have...
1 million Social Work related Volunteer hours,
have 2 excellent letters of recommendation,
write a ridiculous 5 page essay of why you want to be a social worker,
take all the pre-requisites,
and have a certain GPA.
.
I don't have the best GPA, because my first year of college,
I just thought it was just like high school,
I didn't really think you had to WORK for your grade.
.
I didn't start finishing my pre-requisites until Spring of 2010,
which is hard to fit into your already packed schedule.
.
I had great letters of recommendation,
and wrote a great paper.
Not to brag, but I can persuade people pretty easily in a college essay.
.
My biggest problem - Volunteer hours.
You might remember my previous post about the volunteer hours,
and some ridiculous people I came in contact with.
If not, I was told in October 2009 that I needed 200 - 400 Volunteer hours.
I worked my butt off, and in April 2010 I had 571.
I exceed the expectation - or so I thought.
.
I applied to the College of Social Work in April 2010.
I was told I would find out if I was accepted the first week of May.
I waited patiently everyday for the mail to come, while my heart raced.
I was so nervous, it was hard to talk.
Finally, the letter came.
"Miss Kylie Stidham, it is our greatest regret
to deny you to the College of Social Work at this time."
My heart sunk,
then,
tears.
.
.
The College of Social Work only accepts 35 students a semester (Fall and Spring),
there were about 100 who applied in the Spring.
I was told if you get accepted on your first time applying,
that is the rarest thing in the world.
But I thought I was the exception.
I have to get accepted - why not?
.
.
I was told if I didn't get accepted I could make an appointment with the Dean,
and discuss what was holding me back.
On a different note,
the advisor to the College is the biggest b-word ever.
So I called and made myself an appointment.
.
Your application to the Social work program is judged on a number system.
A scale from 4 points to 16 points.
I received 12's and 16's on all until the volunteer work.
Turns out, to get a 16 you need 1000 hours +
I scored an 8 for my 571 hours.
The dean told me if I had scored a 12 I would have been accepted.
To have a 12, I needed 700 hours.
I didn't know I thought I needed 200 - 400 hours.
I was mislead by the advisor.
And went through terrible heartache trying to find volunteer hours.
.
In a way, I set myself up.
I ignored what everyone said about not getting in the first time,
I knew that wouldn't happen to me.
I told so many people I would let them know how it turned out,
in return I was faced with telling people I wasn't accepted,
or I just avoided the subject all together.
.
I was outraged when I found out that if you went on a mission,
you were basically automatically accepted.
I face a disadvantage, because I am not old enough to go on a mission,
or because I have no desire to go on a mission.
What if I wasn't baptized LDS?
Those people face a disadvantage because they don't even have the opportunity to go on a mission.
It is NOT fair.
Plus, a mission is not ALL social work.
Going around to people's doorsteps and talking to them about the church?
That's social work?
I could do that in my neighborhood.
There is some social work, so I think they should only count a few hours,
not be automatically given 1000 + hours.
.
I was even more outraged when I was denied,
because one of my "friends" told me,
at another friends shower I was hosting,
that "It was IMPOSSIBLE to get into,"
and that "I would NEVER be accepted."
I was sad that she was almost halfway there to being right.
This "friend," like many lazy U students, chose to major in Sociology or Psychology,
then get a job in a Social Work field.
Not me,
I have chosen to accomplish my goals,
and try and try again until I am accepted.
It isn't that hard, if you set your mind to it,
if that is what your passion is,
if that is what your really want to do it life.
.
I would like to tell you all when I plan to re-apply,
and let you know if I get in or not,
but I am doing things differently.
I don't want to set myself up for failure,
so if I get in, you will know.
If not, well you wont know.
.
I do know that I will become a Social Worker some day,
even if it takes me forever,
and I will accomplish my goals
of graduating from the most accredited College of Social Work in Utah,
from the University of Utah.
Otherwise known as the best school ever.
.
.
go utes.

worst blogger ever.

I know you all think that my blog has been so boring these past months,
it has.
I have been so busy,
it is just hard to blog.
I thought for sure that summer time I would be blogging all the time,
but not only do I not have the time,
when I do have the time,
I can't think of anything important enough to blog about.
.
I have had so many important things happen lately,
so I don't know what this feeling is.
.
My sister had her baby, and IT is almost a month old!
IT is getting so big, from being so so tiny when IT was born.
I keep saying IT because I want her to break the news to everyone,
even though everyone probably already knows what IT is.
.
Perry got a new car.
A Dodge Charger.
His dream car,
he's wanted one forever,
he's dreamt about an SR/T for 100 years,
but it was too much money, so he only got an R/T.
Still super fast, actually outrageously fast,
but not as fast as the SR/T.
.
Dance is still on summer break,
but starts up in about two weeks.
I am so excited for this year,
because I have a competition team!
Woo.
I can't wait to meet all my new girls and to get the season started.
.
Summer school is a joke.
I hate it.
Last summer, it was so easy,
and I wanted every semester to be just like it.
This summer the complete opposite.
I feel like it has been going for at least a year,
and the classes I'm taking are THE dumbest.
I can't wait until it's over in
6 more classes!!
.
I am spending my last month as a teenager
being depressed.
I don't want to grow up or get old.
Especially because 20 is a boring age.
17, 19, and 20 are boring ages,
nothing exciting happens,
like...
getting your drivers license,
becoming an adult,
or becoming legal!
Ha ha, I sound like an alcoholic.
It's not the fact of being able to drink,
it's the idea that I'm not a youngen anymore,
and that I can go to Vegas,
and be able to walk through a casino without being told to step on the other side.
.
That's all for now.
peace.

Happy seven/eleven day!
I hope you run out to get a Slurpee.

Thursday, June 24, 2010

love you papi.

sorry it has taken me so long,
but I would like to say
Happy Father's Day!
to the best Dad in the whole world!
.
Again, everyone always says they have the best dad,
but they got nothing on this guy.

My dad is the greatest.
Top 10 reasons why I love my dad:
.
1. He always gives me money, and makes sure I have some.
.
2. He pays for my college and and all of my books.
.
3. He always reminds me what's important.
.
4. He used to wake me up in the morning,
and to make sure I stayed awake he would stand me up
in the middle of the room,
and leave,
so I would have nothing to lean against.
.
5. He always helps me with my math homework,
even if it means breaking pencils,
and us getting in the biggest argument.
.
6. He loves and realizes the importance of naps just as much as I do.
.
7. He sometimes is really silly, and makes me laugh really hard,
by the things he says, or the way he walks.
.
8. He doesn't care who sees him in his underwear,
ask all my friends.
.
9. He isn't afraid to tell someone the truth.
.
10. He gave me the gift of life.
.
I'm sorry it took me so long, Dad.
But I do hope you know how much I love you,
and how much you mean to me.
I literally would not be anywhere without you,
but I wouldn't have accomplished a lot of things in my life without your support,
and your help.
You are the best dad anyone could ask for!
I love you!
Happy Father's Day!
.
.
Congratulations,
to new daddy, Chris McCleery!

looo-ow.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending Perry's dad's 50th birthday party.
.
If you haven't noticed by now,
[you're dumb]
Perry is Samoan.
.
*Do not confuse a Samoan Man/Woman living in Utah for a Tongan,
or you will be dead.
There is a conflict between Tongans and Samoans in Utah - for some reason.*
.
Meaning from the island of Western Samoa,
part of the Polynesian islands.
but
he is not full Samoan,
his mom is white.
Meaning you're only 50% Samoan,
does not mean you only partake of 50% of the traditions.
They do it all.
So, for Perry's gift to Jr. (his dad. Real name: Ulimasao),
Perry bought him a pig.
not a live pig,
a pig you can eat.
a pig which is seen as the most delicious thing in their culture,
next to some pretty unique foods,
that I won't even dare to try.
.
On Saturday Perry and I went to pick up the pig for Jr's Big bash,
because they are closed on Sundays.
We went to this cute little market...
Called the Hawaiian Hut.
It was a little slice of Hawaii,
and don't worry those white freezers are all behind me,
and are filled with:
octopus,
fish,
lamb,
pig,
pig feet,
fish head,
and many more parts of animals.
.
We waited a while,
because the pig was cooking at another location.
A couple years back,
my whole family had a luau for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary,
we had a pig just like this, cooked in my backyard.
They take this live pig,
kill it obviously,
then stick it on a stick and rotate it above a fire.
So finally, the pig arrived,
We were waiting for only about a 25 pound pig,
but then they man told us that they accidentally killed
the wrong pig,
a 60 pound pig,
but would only charge us for a 25 pound pig.
It was great for Jr and his bash,
but so sad for this pig.
.
We take it back to Perry's,
this is what I see...
Yes, they cook the pig with everything still attached,
eyes, ears, teeth, feet, etc.
and Yes, the Samoan culture eats all of that.
It's delicious, they say.
It also is a custom for the person being honored,
in this case Jr.,
to cut the pig and keep the head so they may eat it.
So I sat there like a little girl watching Jr cut the pig.
It was... interesting.
It smelled delicious,
but just like for my grandparents party,
I could not eat it,
because I am sitting there looking at it whole,
a whole animal,
that once was alive this morning,
and had no idea what was coming.
.
I did try it, though
I don't think Perry would have let me leave without trying it,
and it did taste pretty delicious until my mind got to me again,
"This is an animal,
you're a killer,
look at that face,
and you're eating it."
Eating like this could easily make me a vegetarian.
And I'm not a big fan of meat anyway.
.
There is just something different,
about getting chicken from a package,
or getting a cow in a patty between two buns,
It makes me forget that it once was alive,
and now I am chowing down on it's butt.

kah-rice Rispies.

yes, Perry bought this.
[his hand is there to show how extremely large it is.]
no, he did not eat it all.
&&
yes, I love him.
to death.

ma-ma I looove you,

ma-ma I swear.
-Backstreet Boys.
.
Happy Mother's Day
to the best mom in the world!
Everyone says they have the best mom,
but it isn't true.
I do.

.
I would love to post 100000 pictures of my mom,
but unfortunately, our scanner is sick,
and I cannot get them in here.
.
.
Ten reasons why my mom is the best mom;
.
1. She does my laundry - puts it away and everything.
.
2. She is the best cook.
And always cooks delicious healthy dinners for me and my family.
.
3. She wakes me up in the morning, and makes sure I stay awake.
.
4. She pays for me to get my hair done.
.
5. When we go to the store, and I say I need something [like a treat] she buys it for me.
.
6. She is such a clean freak that my house is ALWAYS spotless.
.
7. She is the best laundry folder in the world.
[she has the best creases, and knows how to fold those fitted bed sheets perfectly]
.
8. She makes my bed.
.
9. She tells me the truth about things, like when my hair is too big.
.
10. She gave me the gift of life.
.
I love her so much and I am so grateful for her!
I will always be re-paying her for EVERYTHING she has done for me.
She is the best, and I have no idea where I would be without her.
She literally does everything for me, and is the reason I could not move away to college -
I would miss her too much, and I have no idea how to do anything on my own.
.
Mom,
I hope you had a wonderful day,
and I know I am not the best daughter sometimes,
but I would like you to know that I really do love you so much,
and I always will love you!
You really are the best!
.
I love you!
Happy Mother's Day!

tra tra tragus.

I'm needing a change.
maybe
dye my hair,
get a tatt,
or pierce my tragus.

hunting for the best.

[or worst.]

It's time.

Time to find a job.

a second job.

I'm not asking for much.

Not even 20 hours per week,

if I don't have to.

I want more money.

I need more money.

Now don't get me wrong,

I love teaching dance,

but it is out of love,

not money.

.

I am a younger generation,

so I expect everything to be on the internet.

None of this - print out an application,

and walk it in crap.

I want to fill out an application online.

I don't want to call to see if you're hiring.

.

except, I did just call one place,

here's the convo.

Me: "Hi, are you hiring?"

[trying to be as perky as possible]

Girl: "Uumm.. I don't think so right now, we usually do that in the spring."

.

Um..

correct me if I'm wrong,

but aren't we in SPRING now?

.

I hate interviewing,

and I hate telling people my best qualities.

I don't want to make anyone jealous.

[ha ha, kidding seriously.]

and most of all,

I hate being the new girl.

Not to mention,

the endless hours I spend looking for a stupid job,

filling out my name, number, address,

registering as a new user,

filling out my old job's responsibilities,

just to get an email that says,

"Unfortunately, we have considered another candidate."

.

stressful.

.

Best of luck to those of you out there,

who are also job hunting.

Happy Earth Day!

finally finals.

It's finally here.
Spring semester is over.
[next week]
I only have one out-of-class final exam,
pumped about it.
So next week is it.
.
January seems so long ago,
the first exams seem so long ago,
horrible snowy days seem so long ago.
But yet,
it all ends here.
.
.
well,
for this semester.
.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
kind of blurry,
it says,
Teacher: "Class, this year instead of a final exam,
I'm just going to have my TAs drive railroad spikes
through your hearts."
Class: "Yayyy!!!"

see jay see.

Next week, is my last week
as an intern at the cjc [Children's Justice Center].
I am terribly sad about this.
I have enjoyed my time here so much.
It is a place so comforting to children,
and yet so fearful for children.
If you are a new reader,
the Children's Justice Center is a Salt Lake County Facility,
used to interview children about suspected abuse.
May it be physical, sexual, neglect, or witnessing abuse.
.
As an intern, I monitored the interviews between the child and the detective,
made follow-up calls,
and sat in on team staffings where they would decide what counts,
and how many counts to charge the suspect.
.
I know, many people are thinking,
"I could never do this."
or,
"How horrible - why would you want to do that?"
.
If you don't know me,
I live for this.
I would love to do this for a living-
giving children a second chance to have a normal life,
a chance to not suffer through these horrible things all their life.
.
I have never dreaded a day going into the cjc.
I love it there.
I actually look forward to going there.
I don't want it to end.
.
Thank you to;
Jodi Fait,
Heather Stewart,
Jeff Langworthy,
Michelle Alonso,
Wendy Thorpe,
J'Nae Hutchinson,
Suzanne Mitchell,
Diedre Townsend.
CJC,
all the Police Departments,
and most importantly,
the cute kids for finally getting out of their sufferings.

almost time.

Last night,
I had the joy of sleeping with this baby.

You know what this means?
It's almost summer.
.
If you have ever been into my room,
you know it is the hottest room in the house.
.
Seriously, yesterday evening,
probably 82 in my room.
.
I had the window open,
and my fan on full blast.
.
Then I went to sleep,
with my heavenly fan blowing all night.
and me laying on top of my covers,
until I got a little chilly.
.
It put a great smile on my face,
knowing that summer is almost here.
Because during summer time,
I fall fast asleep to the great hum of my ceiling fan.
.
Nothing better.

gooooal.

I recently read a blog,
where the author made a post
everyday!
.
My goal for this week is to post everyday.
.
It could be tough.

battle of the cells.

dedicated to my dad.
.
.
Yesterday, Perry got a new phone.
Perry has t-mobile.
We were at my brothers baseball game when he decided to go over and get it.
I didn't really want to go,
but told Perry I would.
I made him call before to see how long it would take.
The girl at t-mobile said it would only take a few minutes.
.
Me: "ha, a few minutes? Who are they kidding?"
.
So we go over to t-mobile.
Perry had already looked at new phones on the web,
so he knew exactly what he wanted.
.
We walked in, and were shown the phone perry wanted
[G1 my touch]
and perry said: "I'll take it!"
.
So we went over to check out.
.
The girl scanned the phone,
turned the phone on,
switched his SIM card,
took Perry's method of payment,
and said:
"Okay, you have 14 days to return it, if you don't like it.
But I think you'll love it!"
.
Just like that.
We're done.
.
Me: "Seriously, that's it?
You don't have to take his phone in the back, for 45 minutes?
You don't have to make 23 test calls?
You don't have to print out 14 receipts?
What's wrong with you people?"
.
I, on the other hand, have Verizon.
Now, don't get me wrong Verizon is great.
But seriously, we were in the t-mobile store for a total of 20 minutes.
And the only reason we were there for that long,
is because the guy showing us the phone was showing us all the awesome apps.
.
I did some "window shopping" myself,
and t-mobile has so much cuter phones than Verizon.
Plus, they don't have terrible service.
plus, plus, Perry paid less then $150,
my p.o.s. was almost $400,
of course my dad paid it :).
.
Definitely, when I pay for my own phone T-Mobile,
will be the way to go.

next blog...

do you ever press the next blog button,
up in the left hand corner?
.
I do.
.
all the time.
.
I find the greatest blogs that way.
I would tell you some stories about some
pretty crazy blogs I've found,
or some I cannot stand.
however, I do not want to offend the writers.
so I won't.
.
the past couple of times I have clicked on it,
I have gotten the same blog.
uuh.. Blogger?
I don't want to read p******* anymore.
[no that's not a swear word.]
.
just check it out for yourself.
it's great.

Kaitlyn Adams

.
I never knew this sweet girl.
But I feel like we are related.
She was a Taylorsville Chiron,
I was a Taylorsville Chiron.
.
Kaitlyn Adams
has passed away.
She has been very sick for the past several years,
she had [I believe] cancer,
that spread throughout her body.
.
I know that she was very special girl,
and I know she will be missed by many.
She touched so many people's lives,
and was an inspiration to all.
.
She was able to acheive her dreams,
and live a fullfilling life,
thanks to the Taylorsville Chirons.
.
Before she passed,
she even competed her solo routine,
at the Nationals competition
in New York.
.
She had many friends.
It breaks my heart that people have to go through these kinds of sicknesses.
It's terribly sad that she lost the battle.
My heart goes out to her, her family, friends, and anyone else battling a terrible sickness.
.
Her and her family are in my thoughts,
along with her friends, teammates, and coaches.

knead.

Last night,
I went with my family to Kneaders Bakery and Cafe.
.
I have never been but have always wanted to go,
since the dance studio is right down the street,
and I drive past it all the time.
.
If you know me and my pops,
we love, love, love little deli type restaurants.
I always get b.L.t.'s.
They're my fave.
.
So we decided to try it,
although, I think my dad has been there before.
.
Their bread was the tits.
[Please don't get offended,
it's off of I Love You, Man.
When Sydney Fife says, "Those fish taco's are the tits."]
meaning = delicious.
and best part ever
...
they have treats there!
.
especially these babies,

.
I had the best chocolate covered strawberry there last night.
.
Seriously,
go get one now.
.
You'll die.
.
Then I came home,
and yes, I went to bed at 10:00 p.m.
on a friday night.
.
Awesome, I know.

Friday, April 9, 2010

I love new light bulbs in the tanning bed.

Today, I was pumping some gasoline into my car,
and I hear this...
.
Man: Kayla. ... Kayla. ... Kayla! ... kayla! ... Kayla!!
KAYLA!
.
I am on the phone with Perry,
having the hardest time trying to concentrate,
and saying to myself,
"Damn, Kayla answer this guy! He's annoying."
.
Then, I realize he's getting a lot closer to me,
and is literally screaming in my ear, "KAYLA!"
.
I'm getting so annoyed.
.
He finally gives up for a bit,
and walks back to his car.
.
A minute later,
I am off the phone with Perry,
and look toward him,
he's looking directly at me.
.
"Kayla. Kayla! Kayla!! Are you ignoring me, Kayla?"
.
I glance around.
Think, "this man's talking to me?"
.
Him: "Kayla? Hello, Kayla?"
Me: "Excuse me, Sir, please stop calling me Kayla, that's not my name."
Him: "Oh, different girl."
.
Then, he walks away.
no apology for making me deaf,
no giggle for mistaking me for the wrong person,
just oh, see ya!
.
I get into my car,
a little angry at first,
because someone was just screaming at me for 5 minutes,
then I cannot stop laughing.
[I'm actually laughing right now.]
.
He drives around me,
and waves like were b.f.f.
and his wife [or girlfriend] gives me a dirty look.
.
Thanks, KAYLA!
.
.
p.s. I stole some of the formatting from my dear friend, p. dub.
she's the best blogger in the whole world.
I wish my blog was exactly like hers.

obession.

My mother and boyfriend,
often tease me on how many purses I have,
[yes they tease and taunt me,
throwing things in my face,
and say in a mocking tone,
'you have a lot of purses, nah, nah, nah.']
and everyday I say,
"I need a new purse."
.
Well today,
I was reading my dear friend,
Natalie's blog,
[click on her name to see her blog,
oh and p.s. she's gorgeous.]
and I came across something,
that she wrote in her senior year of high school,
that I totally agree with.
.
"purses are like chocolates,
you can't have just one."
.
I love this.
Or in the case of a Lay's chip bag,
[purses are delicious]
"bet ya can't have just one."
.
So MOM and PERRY,
I hope you understand my passion for purses,
and stop teasing me,
and everyone else stop teasing me about the size of my purses.
The bigger the better.

suga'.

Last week, I did a cleanse.

Slimquick Cleanse to be exact.
.
When I graduated high school, I gained weight.
Of course, everyone does.
However, I didn't gain a lot.
.
Maybe 5 or 7 pounds.
So I would like to lose those 5 or 7 pounds,
but more importantly,
I wanted to tone my body.
Although, you are probably saying, "Who doesn't?"
.
I thought I would give this cleanse a try,
to give my toning a boost.
.
Now this cleanse wasn't a typical cleanse.
I could eat food during it.
I just had to watch what I was eating,
exercise,
and take four pills in the morning,
and four pills at night.
And like most cleanses, you get the runs (if you understand what I'm saying).
I didn't get these - at first.
.
I ate healthy,
and didn't have any treats.
It was hard, and I think my body went through a little sugar withdrawal.
One day, I was shaking and had the worst migraine.
.
But on about the fourth day I ate fast food.
I got terribly sick.
It literally went right through me.
I was really sad,
because if you know me
you know that I can eat McDonald's for every meal for every day.
I love it.
I know you're saying,
"Sick, McDonald's is so gross and unhealthy."
I know, that's why I love it.
.
But on this day, I just thought the cleanse was actually working,
but I only got sick when I ate unhealthy.
.
All in all,
I lost about 6 pounds,
maybe 5.5.
It was great.
I felt so confident looking at the scale and seeing what I weighed.
.
However,
I still need to tone.
Mainly my stomach area.
So, if you, dear reader, have any really awesome core workouts - let me know.
.
Thanks!
